uber chainmail chic lol
Well, much has come to pass since last I dared recount my daily bores... however, life has gotten considerably less boring of late. After months of dreaming, I finally got my jeweller's saw. :) I love perseverance, particularly when it's beneficial. :P
I do still need some wooden dowels, but it's not big deal. I can work with what I have for now, until I can make a little extra cash.
Indeed the reason I'm even writing this late is because I have so much creative energy in me at the moment. It's wonderful and horrible all at once... much of it can be blamed on the research I did on chainmail weaves about an hour ago, and I'm terribly excited to begin learning new weaves. The half-persian 4-in-1 is especially tantalizing, though everyone says of all the common weaves, it is extremely difficult, perhaps one of the most difficult. That doesn't faze me... I've got to try. It's so beautiful, especially in 20G 1/8" ID rings!
Anyhow. Crap. All I can think of is chainmail! Weaves and rings and all the projects I'd love to do... I have to be careful, I know. I've noted in the past that if I don't take it one step at a time, and take the time to appreciate the experience, I could become disatisfied. I have a tendency to rush into things. Already I feel that planning a business may be a little pre-mature. I've decided to slow it down a tad bit, perhaps learn a few new weaves first... once I've experimented a bit, and tried my hand at a few of the more difficult weaves, I'll know my limits (temporary limits, baby!). :P
In the meantime, I can of course work on my website. Take some pics of my finished products, etc.
Hehee. I was feeling so high on creative energy, I had one of my infamous spontaneous artistic ventures... lol in other words, I sketched myself in front of the mirror again. Oh, what the who.
Tomorrow morning we're going for breakfast pretty early (tomorrow is Dad's birfday!), and I'm so tired. I think it's finally time to go to bed. My lids feel ready to collapse.
Goodnight. Tomorrow when we get back, I'll get to work on the half-persian weave. Perhaps I'll start with the easier 1-in-3 weave... I really don't want to get discouraged.
