A crabby solution

Yay! Wow.

So I just gave the 5 crabs who were above ground (unfortunately, one of the crabs, Houdini, dug down while I was away - damnit!) a salt water bath for 5 minutes (I just realized I forgot to use 2x strength salt water, but then again I ran out of salt earlier today - I'll have to buy more), then a dunk in fresh water (I didn't have any stress coat to use unfortunately). Then I put the crabs in the ISO unit I set up today. Everything was washed and rinsed extremely well. Paper towel substrate, margarine-container hidey, kibble and salt water. I hate to give them the bare minimum, but it really is temporary (hopefully), and it's less to clean when I repeat the process in about 3-4 days (until the other 5 crabs currently underground resurface).

I also made a whole ton of salt and fresh water for the crabbies today. It was so good to just do it and get it over with. And it's not that time-consuming, if you know what you're doing. I'm starting to get the hang of it, I think.

I can see the ISO clearly from where I am at the computer desk. It's sitting right on top of the main tat. (It's really unfortunate that I don't have a second humidity gauge. It makes things a bit more difficult. :S) I can see Moony and Chipper and Enlil - or is it Enki? They look identical! - (who I was able to identify as a female btw!) and Sweetie is inside the hidey, and Nib is near the entrance. They are all so cute! I'll be able to watch them from my bed before I fall asleep.

What else? Oh! Tomorrow I'm probably going to the dollarstore, where I'm going to look for shells for my crabbies and jute cord (so I can knit climbing nets for them). lol I'm so obsessed. But I love them so much! ;)

Well... I'll post again as soon as there is something interesting to report. Until then, have a good night! We're going to be watching Robot Chicken and Desperate Housewives soon! Hehee!
